iPhone "Add to Home Screen"
Use this page if the Range Register icon on your iPhone opens the main Mashonaland Gun Club website instead of the sign-in app, or if installation isn't working.
Quick diagnostic checklist
Run through these three checks before installing. Tick each one off as you confirm it.
Icon opens the homepage instead
This happens when the app was installed before the latest update. The fix is to delete the old icon and re-install from the Range Register page.

Delete the old icon
Press and hold the "Range Register" icon on your home screen, choose Remove App, then Delete from Home Screen. - 2
Open Safari (not Chrome)
iPhone only allows installing web apps from Safari. Go to mashonalandgunclub.com/range-register and wait until the page is fully loaded. - 3
Add to Home Screen
Tap the Share button (square with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of Safari, scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add in the top-right corner. - 4
Launch from the new icon
Tap the new icon. It should now open directly into the Range Register sign-in screen, even with no signal at the range.
"Add to Home Screen" is missing
- You must use Safari. Chrome, Firefox and in-app browsers (e.g. WhatsApp, Facebook) do not show the option on iPhone.
- If you opened the link from a message or email, tap the three-dot menu and choose Open in Safari first.
- Make sure you are on a real Safari tab — Private Browsing sometimes hides the option on older iOS versions.
App won't work offline at the range
- The app must have been opened at least once with signal after install so it can download what it needs.
- Open the app on Wi-Fi or mobile data, let the Range Register sign-in page fully load, then close it. It will then work without signal at the range.
- Sign-ins captured offline are saved on the phone and uploaded automatically as soon as you have signal again — a receipt email is sent once it syncs.
