40+ Years on the Range
Frik Viljoen brings over four decades of competitive and recreational shooting experience to Mashonaland Gun Club. As Chairman of Doornkop Sporting Clays and a representative of the Clay Target Shooting Association of South Africa (CTSASA), he sits at the heart of the country's clay shooting community.
Frik holds Range Officer certification — the gold standard for safe, professional firearm instruction in South Africa. Every Mashonaland Gun Club session is run personally under his guidance, which is why first-time shooters feel relaxed and serious shooters feel respected.
Mashonaland Gun Club was built on a simple belief: clay shooting is one of the most exciting, social, and rewarding outdoor experiences available — and it should be accessible to everyone, done properly.

Our home venue sits on a beautiful Harare game farm — a short drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria. Open skies, well-designed stations, and a relaxed setting that makes the whole experience feel like a proper day out.
We also operate fully mobile — bringing the complete Mashonaland Gun Club setup to your venue, lodge, or corporate event anywhere in the country.
